State of Aircraft Maintenance Digitalization 2025 Survey

White paper cover page-1

What is happening in maintenance digitalization?

During a very busy 2024 we decided to compile a survey of the current challenges faced by airlines and MRO's in regards to digitalization.

In different aviation events we asked participants to fill out a form and describe the main issues they encountered in their daily work. We managed to get 87 industry professionals from companies of all sizes and continents to give us insight into how they view their digitalization efforts and in what timeline are they expecting to deal with challenges.

For us at QOCO Systems, understanding digital adoption across markets and future trends are imperative. We stand at the forefront of digitalization of maintenance operations, whether its through data exchange between OEM’s and airlines, tooling management and staff utilization. Through our wide range international customer we have gained deep insight to what matters for OEM’s, MRO’s and Airlines when it comes to cost efficient operations. But it is as important to understand the direction of the industry, as well as which predicaments are causing the greatest stress for the companies.

The Results

The adoption of digital strategies is no longer a luxury but a necessity in the aviation maintenance sector. The survey reveals a clear trend: larger organizations are leading the charge, with higher rates of digital strategy adoption.

Smaller companies, while recognizing the importance of digitalization, face unique challenges, including resource constraints and slower implementation timelines. Across the board, organizations are striving to replace manual processes with automated systems, ensuring greater efficiency and reliability.

RespondentsAmong the respondents, airlines were the most common, followed by MRO's.

Be sure to catch all of the insights from the survey.
