Meet Our Crew: Juuso Nikkanen

QOCO's most valuable assets are the people. We are a company that provides valuable services to our clients. We wouldn't be able to do this without our amazing team of employees. Our employees are the heart and soul of our company, and we couldn't be prouder of them. On this employee highlight series, we would like you to get to know our Head of Continuous Services, Juuso Nikkanen.

Juuso started at the company a little over 2 years ago, and his role has changed and evolved during that time. He started as a Support Engineer, then moved on to become a Technical Account Manager, and is now working as Head of Continuous Services. Let's learn more about Juuso and his work at QOCO.

How would you summarize what you do?

The Continuous Services team is responsible for the maintenance and support of our SaaS solutions. Together with my team, we proactively monitor the data flows and the integrations, react to any alerts and requests, maintain configurations, mitigate issues, and actively resolve any issues that might occur.

To make it all work smoothly, we of course work in close collaboration with our customers. But also, with our internal teams such as the customer onboarding and development teams. In my role, I am also very involved in the change management and release management of our solutions, as well as the continuous development of our solutions, processes, and tools.

What made you apply to work at QOCO?

My background is in the aviation industry. Before joining QOCO, I was working for an airline for more or less 6 years. During that time, I was working in different departments of the airline such as Flight Operation, IT, and Customer Relations. I actually learned about QOCO already during that time as I was working on an IT project where QOCO was helping us to build new integrations

What is your ideal work environment?

QOCO has a very well-functioning hybrid work model that allows me to choose whether to work from home to at the office. I like variation and even though I work most of the time from home, it’s very nice to come here occasionally to see my colleagues.

Lastly, the aviation industry is digitizing rapidly but there are still a lot of old manual processes that could be automized. I enjoy improving these manual processes that the airlines still have and that is exactly what QOCO is doing with the solutions. For an aviation enthusiast like me, QOCO is an excellent place to work as it gives exciting opportunities to work globally with airlines, aircraft OEMs, and MROs.
